The 23 year old singer Adele has topped British young musicians in the Sunday Times Rich List despite cancelling shows for throat surgery. The young artist has seen her wealth increase by £14 million to a massive £20 million in the last year.
Adele has had a huge success with her second album “21” which has sold over 20 million copies worldwide. Adele went to school in London with Jessie J and Leona Lewis who are also on the list. Jessie J has a wealth of £5 million. Her debut album “Who You Are” has sold almost a million copies. She is now a coach on the BBC television series “The Voice” which is a talent show that focuses just on peoples voices rather than being influenced by appearance. Leona Lewis who won the show X Factor is worth £12 Million.
Males featuring on the rich list include Taio Cruz, Craig David and JLS. JLS have made the rich list for the first time. Each member of the boy band has a fortune of £5 million, as does Taio Cruz. Craig David leads the way for the males with a fortune of £8 million.
